Battlefield 2 - Infantry Only City Maps: 69.12.91.39:16567
Battlefield 2 - Air and Vehicle Maps : 69.12.91.5:16567
Killing Floor: 69.12.91.4:7757
Left 4 Dead: 69.12.91.27:27015
All servers are located in Chicago.
If this go well we will look to expand in the future with Call of Duty, Team Fortress, Counter Strike, etc.
We will need help populating the BF2 server, if you leave your computer on for lengths of time during the day and want to help us out with the BF2 server, please idle on it during the day! It would be a huge help to us to get those servers going. Players who support the server by idling and donating to keep them going (we'll set that up soon) will be eligible for reserved slots and possible limited admin rights as well. |

About 17 people showed up for 12+ hours of gaming goodness for our EGL LAN. Plenty of Battlefield 2: AIX was played, along with TF2, Team Fortress 2, some Left 4 Dead, UT2004, and a good amount of killing Floor as well.
MWL11 is slated for January 16th, 2010. If we're feeling real ambitious we may make it a 36 hour LAN.
Spread the word now! Evidently CAL is dead so one of our best advertising venues is gone.
We'll get more details as soon as possible. |

Posted By: Alex_StrikerWe're a little less then 24 hours away from the LAN so here's a few last second reminders for you all.
-This LAN is NOT, I repeat, NOT being held at the Senior Center like our previous events. This LAN is being held at the UCC in Delavan, WI (123 E. Washington St.).
-Bring your normal assortment of LAN gear (headphones, keyboard, mouse, cat 5, etc). We will have power strips at the LAN.
-While we will have internet, try to be installed and updated with all games before you get to the LAN. I'll have what I can available, but I make no promises.

Well that was simple!
It will be pretty open in terms of what's being played.
We'll be trying to either pit people against in each in drafted teams in pick up competitions (Call of Duty, Counter Strike: Source, RA3, TF2) or having us all take on an endless AI horde (BF2, L4D, UT2K4)
Here are the games to install:

We'd also recommend having on hand:

Use this LAN as a chance to test out new games to that you normally may not be able to at a large LAN event. |

We have a smaller event coming up on June 13th. It will be held in Delavan, WI at the UCC. It won't be heavily tournament based, instead a lot of organized open gaming for those of you who want to be able to kick back for a day and just frag with a bunch of other people. We'll still be providing soda and some snacks and a few small prizes but basically you can consider this a larger basement LAN. A few different games will be played that might not be seen at the tournament based MidWestLAN events and we'll also be trying out a few games for future events as well.
Here's a list of games to consider having ready for the LAN:
Battlefield 1942 with Desert Combat Final Mod
Battlefield 2 with AIX Mod
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty World at War
Dawn of War 2
Left 4 Dead
Red Alert 3
Team Fortress 2
Unreal Tournament 2004
There will also possibly be a console area set up.

Posted By: Joe#2The MWL guys will owe me lots of beer, but I am getting the site working once again after the upgrade to the forums earlier this year busted everything nicely.
As you can see the front page is now working a bit better, and the forums now have a header again. Try not to break the site again 
You guys owe me lots of beer! 
And yeh the smilies were all deleted and the stockers were restored because having 500 smilies sorta screwed up the forum. |
